We started designing in Thiruvananthapuram in 1999 and never left. What changed over those years is the range: from houses, to hotels and convention halls, to the interiors that go inside them. Four practices now, run from one studio. What did not change is where the work starts, which is with the site and the people who will use it.
One long habit.
- Design it properly, then stay until it is built. Twenty-six years on, we still begin every job standing on the plot, before a single line goes on paper.
- We are architects and designers, not a contractor. We do not sell you the building work. We design it, plan every detail, and review it on site so what gets built matches what was agreed. Your builder and your budget stay yours.
- That independence is the point. The advice you get about a material, a layout or a shortcut has nothing riding on it except whether it is right for your project.
How a project runs.
We look at the site firstBefore anything is designed. How the plot faces, where the light comes from, what the rules allow, and what the budget can actually carry.
You get a scope and a feeWritten down, stage by stage, before work starts. You know what you are paying for and what you are getting for it.
We design it in fullNot just the pretty view. The working drawings, the details and the coordination that decide whether it gets built properly.
We stay on siteThrough construction, checking the work against the drawings. Most people underestimate this part, and it is where a design is won or lost.
